Chrys received her B.F.A. in Fine Art and Illustration from New College of Florida. After graduating, she also began working in textiles and surface design which eventually led to jewelry design. She has studied with Virginia Blakelock, Carol Perrenoud, Diane Fitzgerald, and many other jewelry artists.

Using primarily silver, gold, and copper, semi-precious stones, and new and vintage beads, Chrys constructs unique pieces in needle weaving, stringing, loom work, wire work, embroidery and embellishment. Inspired by nature, Chrys also incorporates found objects in her work, especially shells and beach glass.
