Do you have a passion for collecting beads and making jewelry? As you explore various jewelry-making techniques and develop your skills, do you find that you are creating more jewelry than you can use or give as gifts to family and friends? Are you ready to develop your personal style into a collection of jewelry to sell? Are you ready to make a commitment to developing a business?
|
L. Jean West will present some of the business resources that are available to you as you consider the possibilities of marketing and selling your jewelry. Included will be the importance of the presentation of your work for a distinctive look for jury entries, promotional postcards, brochures, ads, and hang tags. Some selling opportunities she will discuss include local and regional shows and fairs, shop and gallery, wholesale and consignment, and website sales.

Her fascination with shiny glass beads began in 1990 at a conference in St. Paul, MN where she visited Diane Fitzgerald's store "Beautiful Beads." Since then she has been exploring beading techniques with a passion. Currently, she creates one-of-a-king and limited production jewelry under the business name Peacock Expressions-Jewelry & Wearable Art. Her work can be viewed in the Member Gallery.
