Marti Brown

About the Artist
As life takes unexpected turns, 4 years after earning a BA in Theater from St. Olaf College in Minnesota, Marti went back to college to earn a BFA degree in Metalsmithing from Miami University of Oxford, Ohio.

Wanting to differentiate her jewelry from others, Marti began to experiment with anodizing niobium. Gemstones, beads and chainmaille techniques are included to highlight the colors of her jewelry.

Marti is excited using the bold and subtle color combinations made possible by the anodizing process. Color combined with textures and shapes influence her creations. She creates her work to attract customers and potential students for her classes.
