Ann does chain maille. In this technique, jump rings - small circles of silver or gold wire - are interlocked in simple or intricate patterns. By hooking the circles together in twos and fours and other geometric combinations, Ann makes necklaces and bracelets of great complexity and beauty.
She is a juried member of the Bucks County (PA) Guild of Craftsmen and participates in numerous craft shows in the northeast. Each one of her designs is handcrafted using fine silver, sterling silver, brass, gold plate, semi-precious stones, and a variety of glass beads that are made by contemporary astists or are vintage beads found in her travels.
Ann has always been greatly influenced by textures and colors. It seemed natural that she would integrate fiber into the metal jewelry. Fiber and wire are twisted together to create a fiber-wire. This wire is then used to create a bead or wrapped around a form.
